Promoting Theatre, Mime, and Inclusive Cultural Education

Foundation of Rainbow Society:

The Society was conceived at

SANGEETAYAN, Agarwal College, Jaipur, 

under the inspiration  and guidance of Professor Dr. G. K. Singhal

A group of seven friends came together with a shared vision to establish “Rainbow Society” as a dedicated platform for MIME theatre and as a meaningful initiative to enrich the social and creative lives of children with special needs through the performing arts.

The Society was formally registered on

21st November 1995 under the Rajasthan Institution Registration Act, 1958, bearing Registration No. 375/JPR/95–96. With the constant support of the Ministry of Culture.

Under the patronage of our mentor Niranjan Goswami (Padma Shri awardee), and our esteemed patrons Mohammed Salim Bhati, Kamal Jain, Abdul Hameed Bhati, and Shri Rajendra Dadhich, the organization has steadily advanced toward greater heights in cultural preservation and artistic excellence.

We remain dedicated to mime, and inclusive theatre, nurturing creativity, self-expression, and meaningful social engagement across diverse communities.

🎯 Our Mission

We aim to:

  • Advance mime and theatrical arts through original productions.

  • Promote inclusive theatre for children and individuals with special needs, supporting emotional expression and confidence.

  • Organize workshops, festivals, and training programs to engage communities in creative arts.

Key Collaboration: Partnering with organizations like DISHA Foundation & ABHILASHA Vishesh Vidyalaya to implement theatre-based learning and inclusion programs.

👥 Our Team

Vichitra Singh is an Indian artist and theatre practitioner based in Jaipur, Rajasthan, widely recognized for his work in mime, acting, and painting.

As a mime mentor and performer, VHe has participated in prominent events such as the National Mime Festival, where he has conducted workshops and performed in productions that explore expressive movement, body language, and storytelling.

Siraj Ahmed
Founder & Special Educator

Siraj Ahmed Bhati is a theatre director, special educator, and cultural practitioner, serving as Founder  of Rainbow Society . Since 1995, he has led the organisation in promoting mime and inclusive theatre, creating productions and workshops for children and persons with special needs. His work has been recognised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations, and he is also a Fellowship Award recipient from the Ministry of Culture, Government of India, for his contribution to theatre and cultural development.

Shailendra Kumar as the Production Controller, coordinates and manage the production aspects of the society’s events. His responsibilities include overseeing technical arrangements, stage coordination, and ensuring the smooth execution of the productions. ​

In addition to his production responsibilities, He is recognised as a singer and he has reportedly won the "Ghoomar" event at the University of Rajasthan.

Manila Singh
Creative Director

Manila is known for her dynamic contribution to the performing arts through creative direction and costume design for Rainbow Society, alongside her dedication to yoga, reflects her versatile artistic and holistic approach to life.

As a cancer survivor, Manila was featured among the inspiring women who walked the ramp at the Rajasthan Fashion Festival, where she stood as a powerful symbol of courage and resilience, radiating strength, grace, a indomitable spirit.

Ghanshyam Mahawar
Choreographer

Ghanshyam Mahawar is an event professional and choreographer with a strong passion for performing arts, he has carved a niche in choreography, particularly in the field of special education.

Combining artistic expression with inclusive values, he has been actively involved in designing performances that encourage participation of children with special needs. He has choreographed Mime Musicals of Rainbow Society.

Piya Kanwar
Musician

Piya Kanwar is a certified music educator from Trinity College London, that reflecting her strong foundation in formal music education. 

She has composed numerous original musical pieces for mime musicals presented by Rainbow Society, including productions designed for special children’s theatrical performances, contributing creatively to inclusive theatre initiatives.
